Organized around a wheat area (or threshing wheat) reconstituted, our botanical garden extends over 1000 m2 and makes you meet the flora of the Corsican maquis: Arbutus, Myrtle, Lentisk, Immortelle (helichrysum), Olive tree, Juniper, Yarrow, Lavender, Holly, Hawthorn, Euphorbia bushes. Our garden is also garnished with aromatic plants (thyme), vines, wild roses, laurels, Grevillea.
These plants not very voracious in water, automatic drop by drop watering, but also the maintenance methods that we use, make our botanical garden an ecological garden: we do not use any kind of chemical weed killer. Weeds are pulled off with scraper and hoe. Planters are covered with wood chips to prevent weed growth, but also to keep the soil cool and save water.
Hidden behind the walls of the hotel or exposed on terraces not far from the reception, our vegetable garden has just been created with organic vegetable seedlings bought from a farmer in the region. Starting next July, zucchini, eggplants, tomatoes, onions, cucumbers, salads, carrots, melons and watermelons will be ready to be picked. You will then have the pleasure to taste them at the bar of Marie-Jeanne through the plate of the “organic vegetable garden”, and just as the fruits at the breakfast buffet of Désiré.
